This tool allows the user to measure distances on screen. The user can control the units by using the Set Units Button.  The Default Unit is Feet.

1. Left Click on this tool.

2. Left Click Once on the Map where you want to start the measurement. Then Left Click again and the end of your measurement. This tool will keep a running total if you want to measure a series of connected segments.  If you want to measure a series of discontinuous segments then you must left click once on the Clear Selection Tool. 

3. If you wish to change the units see the Set Units Tool.
